1. Launch the Settings app
2. Tap General
3. Tap Software Update
4. If there’s nothing new, you’ll be told just so. Otherwise, you’ll be presented with all the details about the update.
5. Tap Download and Install
6. Agree to the Terms and Conditions
7. IMPORTANT! If you’re low on juice, make sure you plug in! You don’t want your battery to die mid-update!
8. Watch the progress bar! (This part depends on the speed and quality of connection. Don’t be alarmed if it takes a long time, speeds up or slows down, or appears to jump around — be patient.)
9. Once it’s finished downloading, you’ll be prompted to instal (and restart) your device. If you don’t explicitly hit Later or Install within a few seconds, it will install on your behalf.
10. Agree to the Terms and Conditions yet again.
11. Apple will verify the install.
12. That’s it!

Stock widget

1. Open the Stocks app from the iPhone home screen, or tap the Stock widget in Notification Center.
2. Tap the ‘i’ information button in the lower right-hand corner.
3. Tap the + button in the upper left-hand corner to add a new stock. You can search for stocks by stock ticker or company name.
4. Tap Done to finish.

Weather widget

1. Open the Weather app from the iPhone home screen, or tap the Weather widget in Notification Center.
2. Tap the ‘i’ information button in the lower right-hand corner.
3. From here, you have the option to either use Local Weather (pulled from location services) or add a location manually. For instructions sake, we’ll add a new location. To add a new location, tap the + button in the upper left-hand corner.
4. Search by City, State or ZIP and input your preferred location.
